Halfway Home Rescue, Inc.
"from homeless to happiness"
About Us
Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. is a Federal 501(c)3
non-profit rescue organization for abandoned, abused, and homeless
cats, dogs, and small animals. We work hard to
promote spay/neuter and we assist with
trap/neuter/return of feral cats in New Haven County,
Connecticut.
Halfway Home Rescue, Inc. relies solely on donations.
Our entire staff is consists of volunteers who open
their homes to animals in need. In these “foster
homes,” the animals are cared for until a permanent
home can be found. Foster parents work to socialize
feral and skittish animals and to gain trust of abused
or abandoned ones. Each animal that passes through
our doors is spayed/neutered; given proper
vaccinations; tested for contagious diseases; treated
for parasites; and deemed healthy by a veterinarian
prior to adoption.
Since our beginning just three and
one-half years ago, over 2,000 cats, dogs, and other
small animals have passed through our doors. We have
far outgrown the space we have available and need to
expand in order to further help our community. We
currently have over 100 animals looking for homes.
