Halfway Home Rescue, Inc.
"from homeless to happiness"
About Us
Halfway Home Rescue Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals and providing a safe haven for these animals until a permanent home can be found. While in our care, these animals are examined by a veterinarian and given proper medical attention (including spay/neuter). Animals deemed “un-adoptable” become a part of our sanctuary and live out their natural lives under the care of volunteers and trusted veterinarians at Halfway Home Rescue Inc. We also provide trap/neuter/return services for feral cats in New Haven County, Connecticut.
Halfway Home Rescue is comprised of a very small group of volunteers dedicated to making a difference. We operate 100% on private donations. While our primary focus has been on cats, in the last few years we have branched out to rescue dozens of dogs, small animals (rabbits, ferrets, etc), exotic animals (chinchillas, hedgehogs, etc), and even several horses (including off-track thoroughbreds). In 2008, over 900 animals passed through Halfway Home Rescue Inc. on their way to forever homes or back to their feral colonies as part of a Trap/Neuter/Return program!
