Halfway Home is looking for volunteers of all ages. Students needing graduation community service or anyone in need of community service are welcome. What better way to do community service?
We need help help in the following areas or skills:
- Daily care of our cats and kittens, to include feeding, cleaning cages, scooping litter and other related chores. The upside of this activity is the opportunity to play with and socialize the cats and kittens. We'd like to have one or more volunteers for each day of the week.
- Assistance in trapping of feral cats
- Transport of animals to and from veterinary appointments.
- Promotion efforts such as creation of adoption flyers, promotion of adoptions through free advertisements, organization of fundraisers and other such activities.
- Administrative tasks such as sending thank you notes to donors and responding to adoption applications and other inquiries.
